Price and Payment / Terms and Conditions

1. Cancellation and No Show policy

All cancellations must be received in writing to info@coveecoresort.com 

Cancellation for booking to another period (Voucher valid for 36 months, to the same person):
For cancellation in 0-7 days from arrival, a Voucher of 50% of the amount paid will be offered
For cancellation in 8-30 days from arrival, a Voucher of 75% of the amount paid will be offered
For cancellation in more than 30 days from arrival, a Voucher of 100% of the amount paid will be offered

Definitive cancellation (refund):
For cancellation in 0-30 days from arrival, no refund will be offered
For cancellation in 31-60 days from arrival, a refund of 50% of the total invoice amount will be offered
For cancellation in more than 60 days from arrival, a refund of 70% of the total invoice amount will be offered

30% deposit is not refundable (maximum refund is 70% of the total invoice amount).
Marine Park Entry Fee and dive insurance are not refundable and excluded from any refund or voucher.

If booked via a travel agent, refunds are to be claimed via your agent.

Any refunds outside of our terms will be a claim on your Insurance company.

2. No Show

In the event of the booked guest or guests not arriving as scheduled and in the absence of late arrival information being sent to us: after 24 hours the booking will be deemed as cancelled.

In the event of a late arrival or early departure no refunds are eligible.

Late arrivals and early departures may incur additional transfer and accommodation costs, typically 300 EUR per person (minimum 2) per transfer via Waisai outside of regular transfer day and 85 EUR per night in Sorong until next transfer.

For No Show, no refunds will be issued.

3. Late Arrival or Early Departure

In the event of a late arrival or early departure no refunds are eligible.

Late arrivals and early departures may incur additional transfer and accommodation costs, typically 300 EUR per person (minimum 2) per transfer via Waisai outside of regular transfer day and 85 EUR per night in Sorong until next transfer.

4. Refund of Activities at the resort (Diving, Excursion, Tours, Course and any other pre-paid booking):

Activities such as Dive packages, Excursion, Tour, Course or any other pre-paid booking are non-transferable to other person.

For dive package, guest can adjust the price paid as per total number of dive used as per “A La Carte” price.

In case of request at the resort to cancel some other activities listed in the invoice (due to any reason such as illness, ear problem, tired, delay to reach the resort, change of mind, etc...) the refund of the specific pre-paid activity will be refunded 50% of the price paid, or can be exchanged against other activities or food and beverage.

5. Travel Insurance

Due to the cancellation fee and delayed arrival cost, travel insurance is strongly advised and should be purchased well in advance to cover additional cost incurred by a cancellation or delayed arrival.

6. Mandatory Dive Insurance

Divers must have valid Dive Insurance that cover evacuation.

Diver without insurance will not be allowed to dive, however Cove Eco Resort can subscribe a DAN short term dive insurance at 10 EUR for 1 day, 20 EUR for 2 days, 30 EUR for 5 days, 40 EUR for 10 days or 50 EUR for 30 days in case diver do not have their own.

In the event of medical problems, recovery to comprehensive medical facilities will incur significant costs. Cove Eco Resort is not liable for any travel or medical related costs.

7. Diving and Snorkeling

We aim to plan an exciting itinerary of sites for diving and snorkeling.

The sites on the itinerary are the decision of Cove Eco Resort managers based on several criteria including weather, tidal conditions, divers experience, apparent health and the interests of the majority of guests.

We aim to accommodate all guests requests but we do not guarantee to include specific sites in the itinerary (weather, interest of the group, level of experience, etc…).

Some sites may not appropriate for some divers.

Diver shall be certified to Open Water Diver level at the minimum. Cove Eco Resort will verify the Certification validity. Non certified diver can only perform Discovery Dive with dedicated Dive Master.

8. Discount and Promotion

Discount/promotion are not cumulative and only one of them (the greater) is granted at one time on pre-paid items only.

Discount/promotion are not applicable on any added or adjusted item at the resort.

9. Payment accepted for extras incurred during the stay or any other amount

 Any extras such as souvenirs, beverages, gratuities etc... can be paid in cash at the resort.

We accept cash IDR Rupiah, US Dollars and EUR; however, when bringing foreign currency to the area, please be advised that local banks accept only pristine condition. Bank notes folded, tattered or older notes (issued before 2006) cannot be accepted by the resort or any local banks in Indonesia.

We have credit card facilities at our office in Sorong, which guests can use between transfers with a surcharge of 4%.

We accept additional credit by bank transfer for any extras at the resort and would refund any remaining credit by either bank transfer or cash at the resort depending of the amount and specific case.

10. Payment with Credit Card

Online Payment is possible during reservation in USD with a surcharge of 4%

Payment is possible during transfer in IDR with a surcharge of 4%.

EUR conversion to USD or IDR for credit card or online payment is based on mid-market exchange rate +1% fee

11. Payment for reservation

Reservation is confirmed upon payment of a deposit equivalent to 30% of the invoice.

The balance has to be paid by guest 60 days prior arrival.

For reservation in less than 60 days from arrival, full payment of the invoice is required to confirm the reservation.

Bank fees if any, are not included in the price and shall be paid by the guest.

Without proof of transfer received within 7 calendar days from the invoice date, the reservation could be considered cancelled and in such event would be notified by Cove Eco Resort to the guest by email.

12. Excursion price adjustment

Price of excursion is based on the number of adult joining the same excursion (free for child <12 years), refer to Price list.

Excursion Price is provisional based on the expected number of adults in the excursion.

If fewer adults than initially expected join the excursion the price will be increased as per the price list or can be cancelled if the guest do not want to pay higher amount.

If more person than expected joins the same excursion, the price would be decreased as per price list and the difference refunded.

13. Currency exchange rate

EUR conversion from/to any other currencies (USD, IDR, GBP, AUD, NZD), is based on mid-market exchange rate +1% fee
